This machine feeds bacterial and mammalian cells to keep cells alive. ASBL Lab 0 integrates a liquid handler, plate reader, incubator, refrigerator, cell counter, and robotic arm. Use with Python.
2. ASBL 1 ($1 million): automated bacterial genetic engineer
This machine genetically engineers E. coli K12 cells. ASBL Lab 0 + template plasmid synthesis + purification + transformation integrations. This machine outputs a genetically engineered bacterial colony given an input plasmid. Use with Python.
3. ASBL II ($10 million): automated mammalian genetic engineer
Lipid nanoparticle mRNA transfection expressed in 96 wells per cycle. Use with Python.
Software:
4. HumanGEMlib Python library for human genome-scale modeling. HumanGEM (1) comprehensive human reaction network, and COBRApy (flux balance analysis) power HumanGEMlib to simulate effects of genetic knockouts on human metabolism. Type 2 diabetes signature metabolisms reported here.
